Robin Waite had hit a wall, he was running a small marketing agency with 150 clients, four staff, and very little left in the tank. After a fast downhill bike ride ended in tears at the bottom of a hill, he knew something had to change.
Rather than shut the agency down, he sold it. The deal wasn’t life-changing, but it gave him breathing space. It also gave him something more valuable time to rethink what he actually wanted from work.
People had started asking him for business advice after the sale, so he tried helping out informally. What began with a few coffees and conversations soon became a new career. In 2017, he launched Fearless Business, a coaching platform for freelancers and service-based founders. It started with one goal, to make more than the agency had, but without the overhead.
Since then, he’s brought in at least £100,000 every year and now earns between £20,000 and £25,000 a month. That income comes from five clear streams: group coaching, private 1-to-1 work, associate coaching, partnerships and sponsorships, and royalties from books and content.
With the networking I’d done in the first 2-3 years, I’d already built up an email list of approximately 2,000 and a Facebook Group of close to 1,200 members. Having those communities was key to the success of the launch.

Starting the Accelerator
In 2018, Robin launched his flagship product, the Fearless Business Accelerator. Initially priced at £897, he enrolled 30 people in the first month. The launch brought in close to £30,000.
He had filmed some content in advance, but over Christmas that year, he locked himself in his office to finish the course. Around 40 videos, a workbook, a welcome pack, and a few books later, the programme was ready.
He didn’t stop at just content. Clients who joined got a physical welcome pack with business books, planners, a workbook, and even a commemorative medal. He also donated to an ocean charity every time someone joined.
The Accelerator now costs £4,500 for lifetime access. Customers pay a £900 deposit and spread the rest over 6, 12, or 18 months. Roughly a third pay off the full balance early once they see results. The Accelerator alone now brings in around £175,000 each year.
Our clients typically get results within 3-6 months, so it’s a heavy lift to begin with and then things settle down, but they continue to get value from the group for several years after.

Revenue and Growth
In a typical month, Robin earns between £20,000 and £25,000. In strong months, it can reach £30,000. The majority of that is recurring revenue from the Accelerator, with the rest coming from 1-to-1 coaching, associate roles, and sponsorships.
Here’s a breakdown:
- Fearless Business Accelerator: £175,000 annually
- 1-to-1 Coaching: 5 to 6 clients per year at £10,000 each
- Associate Coaching: £2,000 per month
- Sponsorships and Partnerships: Around £6,000 to £8,000 per month
- Books and Passive Income: Around £1,000 per month
He expects this to grow to £25,000 to £30,000 per month during 2025.
Key Wins in Marketing
One of the most effective things Robin ever did was appear on the Deep Dive podcast with YouTuber Ali Abdaal. The episode generated over 275,000 views and brought in more than 3,000 leads. That single interview produced £200,000 in sales within the first four months.
Much of this came from offering viewers a free copy of his book Take Your Shot. He now gives away around 3,000 physical books each year. His formula is simple: for every 100 books he gives away, about two people join his coaching programme.

Lessons From the Journey
Robin doesn’t sugarcoat what it takes to grow a business. He admits he made mistakes, including not doing due diligence when selling his agency and not having contracts in place during his early coaching days. He’s also experienced the limits of his own energy, realising that the business needs to evolve so it doesn’t rely so heavily on him.
He believes in being the most expensive in the market, focusing on client outcomes, and charging based on value not time.
He also shares this advice with other founders:
- Accept that business growth isn’t linear
- Build a waitlist before creating a product
- Charge more than you think you can
- Reduce your number of clients and raise profitability
- Make space for thinking time
- Use partnerships, not just social media, to grow

What’s Next
Robin’s aiming to grow Fearless Business to £300,000 in revenue during 2025. He’s moving his sales process away from 1-to-1 calls and towards small group workshops to free up time. He’s also working on two new books and preparing for a major speaking appearance at Atomicon, one of Europe’s largest marketing conferences.
Through it all, he’s focused on staying balanced. He doesn’t work Fridays, takes most of August off with his family, and has no plans to scale the business into something unmanageable.
For now, he’s sticking with what works coaching people to grow better, more profitable businesses with fewer clients, clearer pricing, and stronger systems.
